4 Youth
Hey!!!
That’s how we roll here at LUMC: when you come in for Youth Group or different things, we welcome you with a warm “Hey!”. It doesn’t matter who you are, if you go to church or not, or anything – we’re just glad to see you.
LUMC stands for Lansing United Methodist Church – you know, that building up the road from the school that you drive past all the time. Except, really, that’s not what LUMC is. See, a church isn’t a building, it’s a community. You can be a church at school, on your sports team, or at your after school job. And the Lansing United Methodist Church isn’t just a building, it’s a group of people you see every day: at school, at the mall, everywhere!
As a community of people who believe that there is an amazing God who loves us, we do things together:
- we praise God together on Sundays at 9 a.m. or 6 p.m.
- we learn about God together in “Sunday School” on Sundays [duh] at 10:30am
- we hang out together at monthly activities or Sr. High Youth Group
- …and we serve together, both in our own church community and around in the Lansing area.
That’s what we do. As for specifics, we offer:
- For Jr. High (6th, 7th, & 8th graders) – Sunday School and monthly activities.
- For Sr. High (9th, 10th, 11th, & 12th graders) - Sunday School, monthly activities, and weekly Youth Group.
We meet in either the LUMC building on Brickyard Rd. or in the place we call the ParFUNage – it’s the basement of the building next to the LUMC building called the parsonage (our pastor lives in the top floor).
