Youth Ministry
The Youth Ministry at LUMC is focused
around the same three areas as the rest of the congregation:
Junior High
Our Junior High activities average one per month, and have included: overnight "Lock-In"s at the beginning and ending of each school year, outdoor hikes at nearby Taughannock Falls, wrapping gift boxes for Operation Christmas Child, game nights, and more.
Senior High
Our Senior High programs have included: a weekly evening for fellowship (usually Thursdays), local overnight retreats, assisting in the church's biannual Rummage Sale, caroling to local congregants at Christmas time, bowling, roller-skating. and encouraging summer camp attendance.
We believe that through these activities and more, youth will see that a relationship with God is important and meaningful, and will desire to seek His will for their lives.
- Drawing near to God through Christian education
- Drawing near to each other through Christian fellowship
- Sharing the news of God's grace and love to those around us:
locally, nationally, and internationally, through acts of service
