District Day

March 4, 2010

A District Day for the Central Lakes District is scheduled for Thursday, March 4, 2010 from 9:00 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. to discuss issues and changes effective July 1, 2010 that are pertinent to the local church.  The District Day will take place at Casowasco and all active/appointed clergy are expected to attend.   Both the Lay Leader and the Lay Member to Annual Conference for each church are encouraged to attend the laity session in the evening, as are the Chairs of the following committees: Staff/Pastor/Parish Relations, Finance and Church Council.  

In addition, any and all members of your congregation who are interested are encouraged to attend.  

The Clergy will attend the morning session which will take place from 9 a.m. to Noon and will include:  Financial discussions around shared ministry, pension, health insurance, minimum compensation and HealthFlex Plan education for active clergy. (Lunch will not be provided.)

All Retirees are encouraged to attend the afternoon session which will take place from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and will include information and discussions on plan education and personal contributions.

Laity are invited to attend the evening session which will run from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. to and will include financial discussion around shared ministry, pension, health insurance, minimum compensation and HealthFlex Plan education for clergy.
